Creative Space
The root practice. Thirty minutes, one prompt, on mute, with soft music and a still image ready when you arrive.
A permission slip to do whatever you want to do.
Quiet, prompt-based creative companionship.
Drop in. Stay on video. Work on whatever matters most. Drop off, or stay for the optional debrief. No exercises, no agenda … just presence held together, at the same time each week.
The container is presence. The outcome is meaningful.
Two things happen at once. There’s the creative companionship: a quiet space to make things with others present. And there’s the prompt, each one landing differently every time.
People use it differently. Some make things. Some journal. Some just sit with the prompt and let it work in the background. One person woke up days later still turning over “how much is enough?”: the prompt had kept working long after the session closed.
What does enough feel like?
Four things, working together.
The quiet, the music, the image, and the prompt. None of them instructs you. Together they build a container your nervous system learns to recognize as safe for deep work.
One question only
Not a list, not options. A single prompt, put up before anyone arrives. A small disturbance placed in the room, like a stone dropped in still water. The ripple travels on its own.
A signal, not a soundtrack
The same playlist every session, designed to disappear: no melody to track, no lyrics to interrupt. Within three or four sessions, pressing play comes to mean one thing: the space is open.
Vast and still
An image that holds the prompt without explanation. It absorbs resonance, rather than adding drama.
Video on, mics off
No warm-up, no check-in, no sharing required. Stay on video, stay on mute, drop off any time. The presence is the point: nothing to perform, no right answer to have.
A thousand approaches to one question.
The prompt is never the point. Beneath every one of them is the same quiet question, approached sideways, so the real inquiry can begin.
Asked obliquely
Asked directly, we perform an answer: the self that knows how to be seen steps forward, and the inquiry stops before it starts. So the prompt approaches from the side. It asks about making, or enough, or how you got here. Something small and specific. And in the asking, something larger moves.
It holds more than one meaning
“How did you get here?” lands differently for everyone in the room: the literal path, the inherited route, the pattern you thought you’d left, how you arrived in it today. A prompt that collapses into one meaning is exhausted before the session ends. One that holds many keeps working long after the window closes.
A spiral, not a line
This practice doesn’t progress… it deepens. There are no stages to complete. The same ground recurs, but each time from a different layer. The prompt that opened something six months ago opens something else today. That isn’t repetition, like a chant. It’s plumbing the depth.
What the practice leaves behind.
Held every week, rain or shine.
Twice a week, at the same time. I hold the space whether or not you show up. Whether you do is entirely up to you.
All times ET. Select Creative Space sessions are open to everyone; the full rhythm is included with membership.
Come and see what it’s like.
Enough reading. Join an upcoming session, alone or with your team, and feel what thirty minutes of space actually does.
